Late in 2010 a leading retailer of wall and flooring products approached X2 regarding small consignment deliveries to their retail outlets which were not delivered on their own fleet and web based home delivery orders direct to consumer and to building sites. They were extending their own facilities to accommodate their growth plans but in the meantime needed to relocate their e-fulfilment operation off site to an alternative warehouse to smooth the progress of the proposed developments on site. They were also uncomfortable with the level of damages they were incurring from their existing provider and the lack of proactive management of delivery queries and issue resolution. X2 assisted in the planning of the warehouse relocation supported the physical move and took on the management of the end delivery. Our input into packaging and loading along with more proactive management of the overall process has had a significant and immediate impact on damage reduction as well as increased performance and customer satisfaction levels. We assisted in the relocation of the stock to the temporary warehouse and the stock movements from the central warehouse along with the management of the final delivery to end consumer and have just supported the move back to the new warehouse operation. As a result of our service levels we have been asked to continue with the management of all the deliveries.
