X2 are delighted to have supported Xcess trading with a variety of transport services during their first successful year in business.
Xcess Trading Ltd was founded in autumn 2011 by former Apprentice candidate, Debra Barr. After successfully building a network of retailers and brands since starting in the clearance industry in 2009, Debra saw a gap in the market for a trusted disposition partner in the form of a B2B sales agency.
Pre ordering goods from the Far East, changing consumer demand and new innovations in technology means there will always be a fluctuating level of excess inventory in the market. This, combined with the rise in online sales and the associated increase in the volume of online returns, has increased excess inventory dramatically. Xcess Trading aim to help manage surplus stock in the supply chain and in the channel.
Xcess Trading works as an external sales house in the Retail & Manufacturing space to clear aged, excess and returned inventory. Each Xcess trading buyer has a dedicated account manager based in the UK which allows Xcess Trading to move products quickly to a targeted database of buyers.
Operating from a 25,000 square foot Fulfilment centre in the Midlands, Xcess Trading houses stock whilst it is being sold through by the trailer, pallet or by the carton.
X2 has supported Xcess trading from the early days of the business, collecting full loads, part loads and pallets of excess inventory, delivering into processing centres and onward to the buyers. We believe the drive and enthusiasm of Debra and her team we see the business prosper in the future, and X2 hope to continue to support her and her team as the business grows.
