X2 trunks on through the night…….

X2 was originally created by Palletways members who formed the business back in 2003, with a range of full and part load services for their customers as well as supporting the network itself. Nine years later although now as a fully independent business controlled by its management team, X2 is still very much involved in servicing the needs of the Pallet networks, their members and their customers with a wide variety of services. We carry out a range of full load collection services both on a regular planned basis, as well as ad hoc movements on behalf of networks, their members and their customers. We utilise straight frame and double deck equipment delivering product into the hub day and night. We also carry out regular activity between member sites trunking collected pallets into the hub on a one way basis and reloading trunks full of pallets destined for secondary hubs and  delivery depots, all planned to exacting arrival and departure times.  This helps eliminate empty running and negates the need for members or the hub to invest in additional vehicles and trailers which would not be fully utilised.

X2 also play a key role between the members and the hub in managing ad hoc short notice bay clearances, usually on a same day basis to ensure there is not a build-up of freight where the members planned trunking resource is exceeded by the volume.
