Building on its recent growth and emergence as a key player in the UK fourth party logistics industry, X2 (UK) announces the appointment of five new staff members. Brought on board to strengthen relationships with existing clientele, attract new business and prioritise further growth, these new additions join X2 (UK) at a promising time for the company.
Spearheading the development of the X2 (UK) brand and supporting sales with marketing-led growth, is newly appointed Marketing Manager, Phil McCluskey. Backed by a first-class BA degree in Marketing and more than six years of experience within the specialism, Phil brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic prowess to the X2 (UK) team.
Phil has been appointed to establish the X2 (UK) brand within logistics and key verticals, manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, plan and implement strategic marketing campaigns, and leverage emerging AI technology where appropriate.
As a Leicestershire resident since 2014, Phil represents X2 (UK)’s ambition to support local talent and strengthen the local area’s economic climate.
X2 (UK)’s Operations department is also benefiting from two new logistics brokers to the team, Oliver Nicholson and Liam Glithero.
Previously holding a role at XPO Logistics, Liam (above) also proudly holds the achievement of the country’s youngest butchery apprentice, later pivoting into the logistics industry. Having 8 years of logistics experience, Liam now focuses on building and maintaining excellent working relationships with both customers and transport partners alike.
Oliver, a lifelong Leicestershire resident, will work closely with Liam to allocate resources, carefully manage the ground-level delivery of haulier services, and regularly monitor performance for X2 (UK)’s valued clientele.
The third department set to benefit from X2 (UK)’s latest round of recruitment is the Transport Administration team.
New recruits, Ellie Duplock (left) and Nichole Ramos (right), bring a combined six years of experience to the department and further strengthen X2 (UK)’s commitment to supporting local talent. With a Level 4 Certificate in Customs Compliance, Nichole brings additional expertise and attention to detail to the Transport Administration department, whilst Ellie’s Level 2 Business qualification and enthusiasm sets the team up for immediate success.
Ian Cramb, Managing Director of X2 (UK), says, “We are extremely proud to welcome Phil, Oliver, Liam, Nichole, and Ellie to the X2 (UK) team. Our focus has always been on promoting local talent, whilst ensuring each new member of our team is the right fit for our goals and ambition.
“I am very confident that each of these new additions will help us to continue offering great service, improve wherever we can and keep our vision focused on what’s to come. Here’s to the future for X2 (UK) and our new team members!”
Following these new staff additions, a substantial growth from £2m to £13m in annual turnover, as well as the elimination of any company debt, X2 (UK) is well positioned to reinforce the logistics industry and the Leicestershire economy for years to come.
